Essay on Islam

Islam, Judaism, and Christianity all believe in one God. These three faith groups also share certain sacred places and figures. Judaism regards Jerusalem as its holy city, and Islam considers Mecca its most religious site. Jesus is considered to be a prophet to Christians, Muslims, and Jews.

By examining their basic tenants, a pattern quickly emerges. First, Abraham plays a central role in all three religions. Second, it suggests that he was indeed the progenitor of these religions.

The Quran contains all the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). The word Islam means "surrender," and its central idea is surrendering to the will of God. Its main article of faith is that "There is no god but Allah Almighty, and Muhammad (PBUH) is His messenger."

Muhammad (PBUH) was the founder of Islam. Muslims believe that they follow a similar tradition to those of Judeo-Christian figures Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, who they believe were significant.

Further, the Quran, the holy book of Islam, given to the Holy Prophet (PBUH), provides the basis for Islamic law. It is disrespectful to refer to God as "he" in Arabic or any other language.

In 570 AD, Mohammed (PBUH) was born. He grew up in Mecca and had an unremarkable upbringing. His wife used to be his employer. Then, around 21 years later, he married a wealthy widow named Khadija, who was 15 years older, and at the age of 40, he received the skill of reciting.

As a result of his newly accused skills, Muhammad (PBUH) accepted his role as God's prophet and began to preach the word of the one God, or Allah, in Arabic. His first convert was his wife. This conversion sparked further interest in the Arabian community, and it wasn't long before Muslims preached Allah's word throughout the region.

In the Qur'an, Muhammad (PBUH) reveals revelations in the form of books (surahs) and verses (ayat). However, Muhammad's (PBUH) divine recitations focused on a form of monotheism considered threatening to Mecca's ruling tribe (the Quraysh), which he was a part of, so the early Muslims faced significant persecution.

When they arrived at Yathrib, a small town close to Mecca, his followers found that they were not welcome. People were not happy with the way Muhammad (PBUH) and his followers lived their lives. So the people of Yathrib sent Muhammad (PBUH) away. However, many of the poor and needy in that town had become friendly with Muhammad (PBUH) and his followers. So these people instantly approved of what he said, adopting the same improvements he intended for Mecca.

Everywhere the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his followers were shunned. As a result, Muhammad's followers (PBUH) fled from Mecca and took refuge in Madina Munawara. Finally, after 11 years, they were able to go back to Mecca and perform the Hajj.

Muhammad (PBUH) started preaching Islam as a spiritual renewal of the monotheistic doctrines preached by prophets before him, including Adam, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. It resulted in a religion that has lasted over a millennium. Even to this day, there are multiple Muslims throughout the world right now. The teaching of Islam proves that this religion is a religion of love where everyone should be kind to others no matter what their race, color, age, religion. Additionally, many people in this modern society understand the value of such things and are becoming better human beings for this reason.
