Terrorism is one of the most tragic problems in Pakistan. Our schools, colleges and universities are no longer safe havens for students as they were once before.
Terrorists have always targeted schools to kill young children who had barely begun their lives full of potential with such a violent act. Schools like ours are not spared from these attacks where we lost many precious ones last month alone when terrorists attacked our beloved country's leader just days ago, sacrificing his life.
Terrorism has become so commonplace that it seems nothing can be done about this problem but think again because there still is hope if only you work hard enough at finding solutions together on your unrelenting journey towards peace.
The international community is unable to agree on a single definition of terrorism. The United Nations has been unsuccessful in coming up with an internationally agreed-upon term for the act.
Many Muslim nations feel threatened by this word, believing that it represents their religion and culture more than any other group associated with terrorist activities since 9/11.
The military offensive against terrorist groups in Pakistan has brought peace to the country and FATA. Pakistani militants have been killed, but some managed to flee Afghanistan, where they continue attacks on posts near the border.

Terror is a word that comes to mind when many people think of terrorism. Governments have come up with their definitions for it, but the United Nations has been unsuccessful in coming out with an internationally agreed-upon definition, and so far, there are no laws or treaties explicitly dealing with this issue as well.
Terrorism can take place under any circumstance where intimidation, violence, coercion, or instilling fear onto someone else takes place, such as wars between nations using nuclear weapons against one another.
There were many attacks where our people lost their lives to these terrorists who could care less about what kind of person you are when all they want is for us to live in fear. The recent attack on Mastung was one of the most terrible ones I've seen yet, as more than 150 innocent souls died at once during an event like none other before.
And still, terrorism continues - those out there killing leaders without second thoughts. Which leaves me wondering if things can get any worse?

These militants are a threat to Pakistan. The Pakistani government needs to be vigilant in order to protect its citizens from these terrorists. They also need the help of Afghan authorities, who share their border with FATA. In addition, they must work together with other countries that have experienced terror attacks like France or Belgium. One way is by sharing intelligence on terrorism trends and prevention strategies so we can all be safe again one day.
